In a heart breaking video that went viral all week end, the alleged separatist leader was arrested and tortured by the Cameroon military. According to the Minister, the gendarmes 'went out of the normal standards in such situations'.
"An investigation has been opened to identify the appropriate sanction to be given to the perpetrators of this crime, who aced against the respect of human rights". The Minister said.
This is the very first time that the military is acknowledging the exaggeration of its forces deployed to the two English speaking regions since the start of the anglophone crisis in October 2016.
