Zimbabwe Moving Towards A Flourishing Economy

The president of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa is encouraging his government to revive the country’s economy which according to him stagnated during the last years of Robert Mugabe on power.

In a speech made during Zimbabwe’s independence celebrations, Mnangagwa declared that due to mistakes committed the country missed investment opportunities.

He is on the move to bring in back some policies which can encourage investment.

“The Investment and Business Facilitation Bill, which seeks to give legal underpinning to Zimbabwe’s commitment to opening up the economy is undergoing due legal process,” Mnangagwa said.

He equally said that the government was putting in place a new bill that would simplify investing procedures, cut bureaucracy and create a ‘one-stop shop’ for investor registration requirements.

All the steps taken are to attract foreign capital in order to resurrect a dying economy.
