Wedding bells are set to ring once again around Nkandla, as the small rural KwaZulu-Natal town’s most famous citizen, Jacob Zuma, is set to walk down the aisle for the seventh time.
According to TimesLIVE, the former president is set to wed a 24-year old woman from Ballito, named Nonkanyiso Conco.“Yes‚ we are getting married‚ but that is all I can say,” Conco confirmed to the publication.
“I need to consult before I give any interviews.”
Who is Nonkanyiso Conco?
Conco is based in Pietermaritzburg and works as a director at Nomkhubulwane Culture and Youth Development Organisation which, according to TimesLIVE, aims to preserve the cultural practices of Zulu maidens.

Zuma has five wives currently, although he was separated from Nompumelelo Zuma – popularly known as MaNtuli – after she was reportedly implicated in a plot to poison him.
His marriage to former African Union chair, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma ended in divorce back in 1998.
A timeline of Zuma’s weddings:
- Zuma first tied the knot in 1973, after he had to wait until his release from Robben Island – where he served a 10-year sentence – to marry his teenage sweetheart Gertrude Sizakele Khumalo, otherwise known as MaKhumalo.

- Nine years after his first marriage, he took his third wife, Dlamini-Zuma, and the couple welcomed four daughters, before going their separate ways after 16 years of marriage.
- The year before he became South African President, he wed MaNtuli, before their union came to the unceremonious end.
- In 2010, a year into his presidency, he took another wife – this time Thobeka Madiba.
- Hie last walked down the aisle in 2012, when she married MaNgema, full name Gloria Bongekile Ngema. They have one child together.
