President Biya And Wife Mourns Sister-in-law Paulette Assam Mvondo

President Paul Biya and wife Chantal were among the Mvondo's family and other mourners and sympathizers who gathered yesterday June 23rd 2017, at the Yaounde General Hospital mortuary yesterday for the removal of the corpse of Late Paulette Assam Mvondo, wife to the late brother of the Head of State, who died on May 25 th 2017 in Yaounde.


The removal of the corpse was heavily attended by political game masters of the country including the Senate and National Assembly Presidents, the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the CPDM, The First President of the Supreme Court, The State Counsel General of the Supreme Court, members of government and some members of the diplomatic corps.

A Requiem mass was officiated by His Lordship Bishop Christophe Zoa Bishop of Sangmelima, who was accompanied by His Lordship Bishop Jean Mbarga Archbishop of the Yaounde Metropolitan, His Lordship Bishop Victor Tonye Bakot, and a superfluity of Priests.

The remains of the late Mme Paulette Assam Mvondo was later transported to Mvomeka'a near Sangmélima, in Meyomessala sub-division, Dja-et-Lobo Division of the South Region of Cameroon, where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband Benoît Mvondo Assam, President Biya's elder brother, who died on September 21st, 2012.
