Social Democratic Front (SDF) To Boycott 20th May Celebrations In Anglophone Cameroon

The largest opposition party in the Republic of Cameroun SDF is to boycott 20th May, 2017 celebrations in the former British Cameroons.


According to information reaching us the National chairman of the Social Democratic Front Ni John Fru Ndi is prepared to lead the boycott of the national unity day due to the situation in the Northwest and Southwest regions.

All efforts to reach The SDF to comment on the story failed but it is our understanding that the SDF will make a statement in the days ahead on this developing story.While waiting,it is worth mentioning that it has has consistently decry the treatment of English-speaking Cameroon during the current crisis and paying visits to the detained in Kondengui And continue to stand by the people for a federal Cameroon. Also,it’s members of parliament have wasted no time to tell the regime to organize frank and meaningful dialogue, Demilitarize Anglophones Cameroon for peace to reign .

In December last year during the 1000 man match in Buea Chieftain John Fru Ndi made the clarion call at Molyko -Buea in the South West Region while addressing the population for the government to immediately release of students of the University of Buea still in detention.

Flanked by SDF MPs, Senators at the rally Fru Ndi denounced the brutality orchestrated in students by police, Gendarmes and soldiers. Then,Fru Ndi said that the Biya regime is responsible for all the injustice and marginalization of Anglophones.
