The head of this International NGO for West and Central Africa says that his organization has respected all the previous legal procedures.

Its director for Central and West Africa Alioune Tine, regretted the banning measure of the Cameroonian authorities. “This is the first time for us to experience such an experience here in Yaoundé. We have come here several times to make press conferences without problems. The day before yesterday, we were given permission to go and visit the detainees and talk to them.
So we are surprised because simply to hand over 312,000 petitions, messages that Amnesty International has collected around the world, asking the president to release young students including Ivo and his two friends. We see absolutely nothing that could constitute an event to disturb public order here in Cameroon. That’s why we really regret this ban, “said the head of the NGO based in London.
