The Yaoundé Appeals Court has rejected the Babeas Corpus appeal by defense Counsel of jailed AYAH Paul Abine on grounds that the complainant did not go through the right quarters before filing the appeal.
The court session scheduled which started by 11 am Thursday April 13, 2017 was given few minutes of recess after Justice Ayah Paul pointed out some irregularities in the process.The case was later adjourned due to some technical reasons according to Judges at the Appeal Court.
It was said that the defense counsel did not follow the normal procedure for filing appeal cases, according to the judges; the individual concerned was supposed to personally present it to the President of the Appeals Court upon acknowledgement receipt.

This is the second time the Habeas Corpus is being rejected. The first was on March 21 when the Mfoundi High Court turned down the appeal.
