Several weeks back, a special dispensation by the leadership of the consortium appointed Mark Bareta and Tapang Ivo as interim leaders of the Anglophone Cameroon civil society Consortium. This is because they predicted a possible arrest, which off course came to pass.


Mark and Tapang held firm to the instructions handed over to them; no violence, ghost towns and standing strong to demands made.

A recent video from the Executive Secretary of CATTU, TASSANG Wilfred relieves Mark Bareta and TAPANG Ivo as interim leaders of the Consortium. He equally mentions that Ghost towns will be observed only on Mondays and calls for a boycott of women’s day in Anglophone Cameroon.
