In one of the biggest clean-up campaigns in Harare thousands of people from the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries took time to clean and properly dispose of waste in the central business district this Saturday.
The City of Harare in partnership with the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) and Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries conducted a massive cleanup campaign in the central business district as part of the 100 day sustainable clean city campaign in the country.

PHD Ministries founder and leader Prophet Walter Magaya says his ministry has found it necessary to support EMA and the City Council in cleaning the city as the rainy season can be characterised by water borne diseases if garbage is not collected.
EMA director environment Mrs Petronella Shoko and City of Harare spokesperson Ms Dorothy Mavolwane said littering and poor garbage disposal is a result of many challenges encountered by the council and recklessness by some people who throw litter onto the streets.
The Keep Harare Clean campaign is aimed at ensuring the capital city achieves a world city status by 2025.
This year alone the City of Harare received nearly 400 bins from companies and well-wishers but the figure is still too low to cover all areas.
