AN inquest into the stampede which left 11 people dead last year at the Walter Magaya led Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) all-night prayer in Kwekwe is set to resume on Wednesday after it was postponed a fortnight ago.
Kwekwe magistrate, Taurai Manwere, had postponed the matter after area prosecutor, Salome Maunganidze fell sick on February 10.
The case opened on January 28 with police and council blaming PHD ministries for the stampede that killed 11 people.

The witnesses said PDH Ministries’ actions could have caused the stampede.
PHD is represented by lawyer, Everson Chatambudza.
Ian Nkomo (40), Tamuka Chivasa (11), Juliet Mawere (55), Tendekai Bafana (9), Rachel Zvinei (16), Shadreck Kurebwa (59), Bridget Mukaraji (24), Albert Ndure (13), Cynthia Jane Kotsholo (47), Grace Gwinji (47) and Winmore Chikanda (12) died during the stampede after people stepped on them.
