Zimbabwe - A 27-year-old Harare man allegedly terminated his girlfriend’s pregnancy by inserting a pill into her g.enitals during s.exual intercourse in a bid to evade responsibility, the court heard yesterday.
Nicholas Mutorerwa, of Number 15 Jackson Road, Hatfield, who is also an employee of the Public Service Commission, was facing charges of unlawful termination of pregnancy when he appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Elijah Makomo.

It is alleged that this prompted Mutorerwa to hatch a plan to evade responsibility.The court heard that on January 9 this year, Mutorerwa secretly inserted a pill into Musemburi’s private parts while they were having s.exual intercourse to induce termination of the pregnancy.
It is alleged that Musemburi started bleeding soon after being intimate with Mutorerwa which later led to the termination of the pregnancy.The court heard that Mutorerwa later confessed to Musemburi that he had inserted a tablet into her private parts while they were being intimate which led to the termination of her pregnancy.
It is the State’s case that Musemburi was referred to hospital where she was examined by a doctor leading to Mutorerwa’s arrest.
