Algiers — Algeria's 14 teaching hospitals will be rehabilitated in 2015 in order to meet the international standards, said Tuesday in Algiers Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abdelmalek Boudiaf.
Boudiaf, who inaugurated four new services at Beni Messous teaching hospital, said that the "rehabilitation of these structures goes through the completion of independent high level structures supervised by specialists with great experience so that they meet international standards."
"These structures such as those inaugurated Tuesday will be equipped with advanced equipments to serve citizens," he added.
The minister inaugurated a surgical emergency service, an emergency and ENL auscultation service, an immunology service and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit at Beni Messous teaching hospital.
"These services are equipped with advanced equipment and administratively independent from the teaching hospital," underlined Boudiaf, adding that "all the teaching hospitals throughout the country will see the completion in 2015 of this type of hospital services in view of alleviating the load in the hospitals." - Algerie Presse Service
