There was drama in Gweru’s Ascot Suburb when the bridal team decided not to pitch up for the wedding claiming the bride was not grateful for the effort they were putting toard the wedding. The five grooms-men: Timothy Moyo(21) Wayne Mpofu(18), Tinotenda Sithole(19), Blessing Tashinga(19), Munyaradzi Moyo(18) together with the bridesmaids, Getrude Ndlovu(20), Prudence Sibanda (19), Tarisai Pasi(22), Vimbai Gumbo(17) and Priviledge Mativenga (18) are members of the dance group called Crazy Stars and are always being hired to perform at most Gweru Weddings.

The incident which put the bride and groom in shame, took place on 3 May at the bride’s home in Ascot. It is understood that the couple had to hire a local Dance to fill in for Crazy Stars after they had pulled out. The bride, Spiwe Shoko(28) who married the love of her life, Martin Moyo (32), said she was so disappointed by such an act and threatened to take legal action against them for not honouring their word. ” I was really disappointed and was let don by crazy stars dance group, what pains me most is that I know them and we have worked together before. I am going to sue them because as far as I am concerned they breached the contract that we had, ” narrated the furious Shoko.

When contacted for comment, the crazy stars founder, Moyo, said they shunned the wedding because the bride had said harsh words to them on the eve of the wedding. ” The bride kept on yelling at us and she even said that our standards wee very low. We were doing everything in our power, but she was just ungrateful for our efforts, ” said Moyo.
