HARARE – Close to a thousand MDC-T supporters besieged the
party’s Harvest House headquarters in central Harare to show their
support for founding president Morgan Tsvangirai.
This followed events on Saturday that saw a small faction of the
party led by Secretary General Tendai Biti claiming to have suspended
Tsvangirai along with the standing committee of Thokozani Khupe (deputy
president), Lovemore Moyo (national chairman), Morgen Komichi (deputy
national chairman), Nelson Chamisa (organising secretary), Abednico
Bhebhe (deputy organising secretary) and Douglas Mwonzora (information
secretary).
It’s also reported that the Harare East MDC-T district committee is
also meeting to pass a resolution to recall Biti, who is MP for that
constituency.
