The fortunes and survival of UFIC leader, prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, is hanging by a thread, with the prospect of an ultimate shutdown of his tricky church, after the already talked about Ghanaian pastors have sent an explosive letter to President Robert Mugabe, to be hand delivered by a local delegation of clerics representing them in Harare next week, the Telescope News reported.
Makandiwa had appeared to take the gospel in Zimbabwe by storm five years ago, with sugarcoated teachings bordering on a heap of what his critics say are "lying miracles", such as penis enlargements, miracle money, miracle babies, weight loss on live television, and dubious financial summits to empower men right in the House of The Lord, they charge. However, the letter sent last night to Zimbabwe, calls on Mugabe to immediately arrest Makandiwa without hesitation when Grace passes away, as evidence that he is a fake prophet, thus God has hidden this sad prophecy just to expose his wickedness, and alleged ties with the occult and voodoo magic, the pastors lead by Lawrence Ajoba, said.
The Telescope News claims that it has a copy of the letter, which is embargoed until 6 April 2014, thus we shall be publishing the full text of the letter on Monday, the 7th of April, as part 2 to this interesting saga fast approaching "Judgement Day".
Ironically, Makandiwa is preparing for a much hyped "Judgement Night" on April 19, at the National Sports Stadium in the capital. Some 150 000 people are expected to attend his meeting, including foreigners, which could be his very last shot at fame and crowd pulling. The Ghanaian pastors, as will be read next week also want Mugabe "to set bulldozers" on the UFIC Chitungwiza church.
"We are coming to Zimbabwe, but first we want the Head of State, to understand the nature of the person we are dealing with," said Pastor Ajoba from Takoradi, in an early morning telephone interview. "We are not alone. They are actually a significant number of real Zimbabwean Men of God, who are in the background. The problem we are having, is that some of his followers are refusing to wait and see who is speaking from the side of truth. We have seen the hate and threats by others, who are openly calling for our beating upon arrival. This is not going to instill fear in our hearts, for The Holy Spirit is leading us. True worshipers must not allow themselves to be paid as hired mobs to cause unnecessary drama, because that will not stop us."
Ajoba said very soon Zimbabweans, will be shocked to learn that a great minister of God, who is Zimbabwean and choosing to be silent for now, will soon emerge and shame all false prophets in the country. The minister in question, is abroad waiting for the right time from heaven to strike, said Ajoba.
The Ghanaian pastors, as we first reported early this year, have fallen out with Makandiwa's spiritual father, Victor Kusi Boateng, another Ghanaian and spiritual father to Makandiwa. Kusi Boateng, is seen as the kingmaker behind Makandiwa, and others whom he allegedly acquired "occultic powers and Voodoo" on their behalf from a popular fetish priest also from his native called, Nana Kwaku Bonsam. The dreaded fetish priest is on record saying that he has helped over 1700 pastors across the African continent with powers to prosper and grow their churches, including those from Zimbabwe.
It also never rains, but pours for Makandiwa and UFIC, after the homosexual and lesbian community in the country, revealed that some of his followers are closet members of the Gays and Lesbians Association of Zimbabwe (GALZ). Mugabe has described gays, as "worse than pigs and dogs", and will certainly not take kind this revelation.
"It is one thing for you to remain silent or neutral about homosexuality; it is quite another for you to castigate us when some of your followers are LGBTI people themselves hence statements such as the ones quoted in the Sunday Mail hinder his ability to reach out to the people that yearn for God's love," GALZ said in a statement.
"We should learn to show compassion and be willing to associate with those that bear the burdens of life placed upon them by others.
"Prophet Makandiwa must have conviction of the power of the Gospel he preaches to "convert". He needs not be a modern day "Pharisee". We are reminded of (Matthew 23:13-15)."
A UFIC official promised to call us back yesterday, when we sought a comment from Makandiwa, after we tried several of his numbers without success. However the official did not bother owing up to his promise.
