| Prophet Blessing Chiza and Wife |
Born seven years after his parents had gone through a traumatising experience of losing two daughters. His coming into the world was a great comfort to his parents who named him ‘Blessing Munyaradzi’ (meaning comforter) Chiza. His birth also opened door to more blessings as his mother gave birth to two daughters after him. The prophet was named in the presence of a Pastor from (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith Ministries who prophesied that he was going to be a blessing to many nations and the world at large.
As he grew up his family had to face a series of challenges of fatal accidents which threatened his life twice including illnesses time and again. While he was playing he got hit by a metal plate of a swing across the bridge of his nose which was broken causing serious bleeding even through his eyes. This affected his eyesight for some time but was eventually healed after his mother’s friend Mrs Gwangwadza prayed for him. He also suffered a fall from an over speeding truck where suffered serious injuries on his forehead, palms and knees.
Prophet Blessing Chiza is a man who has a knack for excellence and living righteous life, which he achieved against the odds of growing up in a poverty stricken area in Chizhanje in Mabvuku which was one of the poorest areas in Harare and characterised by violence, where youths indulged in smoking and drinking. Having also at one time succumbed to drinking such that he was at one time called Papa Mabhule or Jawise for he was a leader of a gang.Growing up in a Christian family, raised by parents who feared God and enforced values of Christianity into their children he was channelled to the word of God and the teachings of Mrs Gwangwadza who greatly influenced him and siblings and taught them the word of God.He got out of gangs and managed to quit drinking.
He went to Mabvuku primary and high school which is where he received Jesus Christ in the early 1990s. There he began taking leading roles in the school’s scripture union. Together with other students they would pray in the school grounds and had conferences. During one of the conferences at Tafara high school he received his calling as an eagle angel appeared to him and landed on the roof of a classroom. An enormous eagle that spread its wings. A strong wind blew and entered his chest. He heard a voice coming from heaven saying he was being called to be an Apostle and Prophet, to preach and evangelise everywhere and bring people to Christ. He continued to preach the word of God and as he continued to Kwekwe Polytechnic College his ministry intensified. He was studying accounting while leading a Christian Union and continued to preach all over Kwekwe. As a result many students from Bindura University, NUST, University of Zimbabwe including pastors from various churches to fellowship under his ministry. He led other students in dedicating their time to outreach programmes in rural areas, in Mberengwa, Zvishavane among other areas, spreading the word of God. He was made chairperson of all Christian Unions in Zimbabwe called ‘FOCUS’ Fellowship Of Christian Unions in Zimbabwe.
The Prophet Isaiah prophesied to the world but as much as he was a prophet to the world, his wife was a prophetess to him. The Prophet Blessing Chiza refers to his wife as his prophetess, councillor, intercessor, and best friend who is his source of strength and support through good and bad times. Prophet Blessing Chiza met Prophetess Tatiana Chiza with whom he shares his passion for holiness in the combined outreach programmes. She was one of the leaders of the scripture union at Kwekwe secondary school at the school she was going. They met in 1998. It was after he had finished college when he was praying for a wife that the Lord spoke to him and told him that his wife was Tendai Tatiana Chashamba. That is when he started to look for her and where shelive . He looked for her for four months until he got her address and discovered she lived at a farm called Sunrise Farm. They communicated for some time until Prophet Blessing Chiza decided to approach her. Prophetess Tatiana Chiza was at that time highly respected sister at church who was highly principled. He had to fast 70 days before gathering the courage to approach her. They got married in 2001.
Prophet Blessing Chiza was a very proactive and hardworking youth who also dedicated himself to planting a good seed in assisting other people in their weddings and in church. As the Lord was already using him in ministering to others, he prayed for people and healed others and for instance a womanwhose husband had full blown AIDS who later sowed back into his wedding among other people and his wedding was a huge success that blessed a lot of people including the less privileged who were also fed for the food was abundant.
Prophet Blessing Chiza has always dedicated his special days like his birthday to donating food stuff and clothes to the under privileged every year.
Prophet Blessing went to Faith in God Ministries and was mentored by his spiritual father Archbishop Asa Gurupira. He went to Faith in God Ministries after God sent him there. The Lord spoke to him prior to his journey there that that day he would show him the church he was to go to.Aftera long day of going from church to church, on his way from Old Mabvuku back to Chizhanje he passed by a place called ‘The Soup Kitchen’ which was where FIG Ministries was meeting and at that time it was called (CLC) Christian Life Centre. Upon hearing the preaching and music he felt pulled to the place and since then he never missed a service He highly participated in the church activities with great passion. After CLC changed to FIG Ministries he was made the first youth leader of FIG Ministries International.
He was ordained a few months after his wedding as a pastor by the Archbishop Gurupira after which he was sent to pastor in Mufakose. There the Lord was already using him as he was already prophesying in FIG Ministries as well. He was an apostle covered in a prophetic garment. He encountered a number of confirmations from the Lord about his prophetic ministry. One was dream where he saw deep, dark, endless pit in which he had people crying which he covered with a mattress while he told people not to go near it because they would fall into the pit and go to hell. He also had a vision that he was in heaven and an angel came to him with crowns that were large and were put over on his head but since they were big they all went over him until he was completely covered by a number of them. He then heard a voice which told him that he was an apostle and prophetof many nations and was to work hard and minister to many people for his crowns were awaiting him in heaven . He was later ordained as a prophet. However the transition or change of title from pastor to prophet was received by people with mixed feelings, while some were not affected because he was already prophesying even before he was ordained as Prophet others were sceptical and criticised him.
Prophet Blessing Chiza strongly believes that tribe, language or culture isnot of importance in the house of God for all are children of God. He had to fight against the language barriers and difference in culture when the Lord assigned him to go to Bulawayo and start a church. This instruction came at a time when he was promoted as an assistant accountant at Time Bank, which offered him a mansion in Chisipiti near Glelon Borrowdale, a good salary and a car. As a result he received this calling with great difficulty for it meant he had to give up his job along with a comfortable life to go and start a new life in Bulawayo and preaching to people who spoke a language he had absolutely no knowledge of. At first he resisted to for he was at one time visited at night in his room by a demon of Bulawayo which was in form of a short man in a dark suit an d told him not to go to Bulawayo for he will die. For some time he resisted going to Bulawayo until one day when he got involved in an accident involving two trucks that almost collided with his car between them which he narrowly escaped as he sped into a bush where his car was somehow suspended on top of a tree. That was when h heard a voice from God saying he must go to Bulawayo and it was after he agreed that the car miraculously landed on the ground and he was and he got out without a scratch.
On the day that they were moving to Bulawayo they encountered a lot of challenges which threatened to be very discouraging in their journey. At first they forgot his envelope which had all his educational certificates in a taxi and when he went back to look for the taxi using the receipt he had been given, he discovered that no such taxi existed. Also on their way to Bulawayo their property was damaged to such an extent that they were forced to start afresh for most of it was now broken. Later while he was praying the Lord revealed to him that the loss of his certificates was his doingbecause he wanted him to focus completely on his ministry. This was a struggle for him and Prophetess becausethey felt like educated as they both were, they had ton at least have a source of income while pioneering the church. Prophet Blessing Chiza then worked in Gwanda for a company called Zambuko Trust in Gwanda while they had only one member in their church for a year. The Lord’s will however was that they both resign and focus full time in the ministry and preaching the word and developing the church they had moved to Bulawayo to build. The prophetess was also working as a book keeper at Anand and Brothers. They eventually resigned and started preaching to people in the streets of Bulwayo town. They were still in Nkulumane and they later moved to Cowdray Park. They had a very difficult experience as they were no longer working and had no means to buy food and pay rentals. They later moved to Luveve where they started FIG Luveve.
After seven years, through the struggles to put food on their table, they also suffered the painful experience of not having children even though the Lord assured him that he would have children. They were then blessed with their first child who was named Joshaviah Joriah Chiza
Eagle Life Assembly
On the second of January 2011 Prophet Blessing Chiza started Eagle Life Assembly at ZNCC Building. After praying for a name of the church the Lord gave him the word Eagle and reminded him of his calling and the Eagle which appeared to him in his calling. He first called it Eagle Power but later God said he must call it Eagle Life Assembly for that s fully explained the characteristics of an Eagle which his children were to adopt.
Prophet Blessing Chiza started with four people while he spent his time in the streets of Bulawayo witnessing as he picked men prophetically, speaking into their lives and inviting them to the house of God. He moistly targeted men who were drunkards, smokers etc. Week after week the church grew and they had to move to Masiye Camp. There the church grew to about 120 people. It continued to grow until the venue was too small for the people who were now coming hence God instructed him to go and look for a bigger venue when he found Palace hotel which cost far much more than Masiye Camp. The move to Palace Hotel faced loss of some members who did not agree with the move. Still the venue filled up and they had to look for an even bigger venue. The Prophet was shown a place which is the current one in Thorn groove. The place was a warehouse that was old and dilapidated such that when he went with the church members to pray for the place, there were again some members who were discouraged at the sight of the place and the cost of rentals. God blessed them however when the owner of the building rented it off to them with for free for the first three months and reduced the rent to a quarter of the normal rent.
Eagle Life Assembly is one of the fast growing churches in Bulawayo and Matabeleland North. A centre of prophetic healing and deliverance where people from all walks of life feel at home. It is a place where many lives have been changed for the better and an impartation of a value for holiness, righteousness, fasting, prayer, excellence, and all characteristics of an eagle are followed. The church continues to grow with also helping develop people’s talents in music, acting, media, dancing for God and strives to bring the youths out of nightclubs to dancing for God. Under the leadership of Prophet Blessing Chiza and Prophetess Tatiana Chiza. Children are moulded to doing things of God and preparing for the second coming of Jesus
